Special Education Programs

Broadview-Thomson offers special education services for students who qualify in grades Pre-K through 8th grade. Currently, Broadview-Thomson serves about 120 students within the special education department.

For most of our special education students we offer an inclusion model, where students are with their same aged peers for most, if not all of the school day.

Students receive special education services either within the classroom, or in a small group setting for part of the school day.

Special education services are provided based on the students needs, and as outlined by their Individual Education Plan or IEP.

In addition to special education teaching staff, we also have 2 Speech Language Pathologists, an Occupational Therapist, and 2 Physical Therapists who work in the building part time or full time.
