2024-25 Welcome Message from the Librarian

Hello Broadview-Thomson K-8 Community,

I am a fourth year teacher-librarian who is excited to start my first year at Broadview-Thomson.

I previously taught library at Licton Springs K-8 for three years. I moved to Seattle in 2019 to earn my Master’s in Library and Information Science at the University of Washington. I am excited to start a wonderful year with you all!

Sincerely,

STYLE music workshops

letters that spell "STYLE" with open book and music notes

In late winter 2024, students in K-5 participated in songwriting workshops with local musicians through the STYLE (Songwriting through Youth Literature Education) program. Students came to the library and learned how to write a song about a book they had read! Each class has a song recorded- grades 4 and 5 recorded tracks in a recording studio set up in the library!
