Student Activities

At Broadview Thomson, we feel that participation in student-oriented activities is a vital part of a student’s education. Therefore, a wide range of activities is provided, which include the following:

Associated Student Body (ASB) – Often knows as student council or student government, we have six officially elected student leadership positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two Public Relations Officers. Our ASB makes decisions about school spirit activities, fundraising, and also approves money spent on field trips and other school activities. Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) – Middle school students meet once a week during lunch to work on strategies to ensure that all students feel welcomed and appreciated at school.

IGNITE Program
– This program encourages our middle school girls to consider career paths in Math, Technology and the Sciences. Activities include lunch time panel discussions with women working in these professions, as well as field trips.
